Primer 1 was the first project that i embarked on in the first year of Architecture. Primer 1 provides me with opportunities to
understand the processes involved in architectural design such as drawing and design process as well as better understandingto the Architecture tectonics.

 

Primer 1 was started with the process of dis-assemblage, re-assemblage, mapping and follow with hierarchy. I dis-assemblage electronic equipment into individual components and as a group, re-assemblage them into a new "object". We took pictures of the "object" created and transferred the pictures into drawing on butter paper. We combine all the drawing in one big piece of butter paper. We outline the drawing with different line weight to show hierarchy.

 

Then, one part of the drawing was chosen. A few design drivers was chosen based on the selected part of the drawing and hence create models that express the design drivers. A Cryptex box was created with holes on it. The final model was placed inside the box and place under the sun. Pictures of the inside was taken.
