PRIMER 2
SCARS IN THE GROUND
Primer 2 was the second project that i embarked on in the first year of Architecture. Primer 2 is mainly about designing a memorial for the war veterans. It was sited on an empty lord at the Former Ford Factory.

Emotions were extracted out based on the experience of a war veteran of World War II, Syibil Kathigasu. The main three emotions that i extracted out is entrapment, overwhelmed and hopeful.

The memorial is to create the opportunity for visitors to reconcile with the World War II and seek a resolution of letting go. This is through the journey of entrapment, overwhelmed and hope after their visit to the Former Ford Factory Museum.

The form of the memorial is based on the "no corner" concept. The distance of a circle from its center is always constant. As a result, Circular form was selected in order to show the idea of there is no place, no corner to hide personal emotion and problems and escape from facing them bravely.
